  • Hi. I'm very new here and I just wanted to say hello and nice to meet you. I have been lurking here and am a member of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Heaven for a formidable while now and just wanted to say this wiki is very good. I have been scanning through here to see if I can contribute anything useful but it seems there is already enough filled out here. If there is anything I can add to the wiki, I'll let you know first hand.

Also, Darn! Av93 beat me to it, but I also had an idea for suitable wallpapers to replace the old one with the buttons and what not. I wanted to ask you which wallpaper looks better and which one would you like a lot for the look of the site?

  • Hello from Aoe Wiki! I just stopped here to say that this wikia needs badly a better image background!

  • Hey Narve,

I thought of asking you an advice since you seem to have been playing SWGB for at least 8 months.

I always find that building a lot of defences is actually impossible. I have tried so far 3 different maps, but the ore mines seem to be extremely few and scattered. On age of empire II though, with any average map sized at least for the number of players it contains, the stone deposits allowed each player to build a few dozens of towers, several castles (3/4 if not more) and loads of walls with no trading whatsoever.

Can you relate to this? Have you found a map which is richer in resources or? It bothers me because a) I like turtling against the AI and b) I am using the trade federation to make use of its extensive defensive capabilities, however I have only been able to build 2 fortresses, 4 towers and a couple of gates and wall pieces before I ran out of ore and the map was deprived of it. I was playing with 2 other AI's on a 6 players map.

hope you have some advice for me, thanks in advance

    • I usually play campaigns, and haven't played many random maps, so I'm afraid I can't help you.

    • I played many random maps. The thing I do is playing maps with choke points such as rivers or vast forests and build up the choke points with shielded wall, one fortress, few towers and anti air and shield generator and I fight to hold on the choke point while pressuring the enemy on other fronts with few assault mechs.

    • thanks Nanomat, that reminds me of Black Forest in AoE II. I hope to find a map of that sort, still, I would prefer to have more of the rock counterpart (ore). I have in fact edited a map to fill it with more of the resource.

  • Hi mate,

thank you for asking. I'm fine, I just have a bunch of stuff to do for my job and university at the moment. I see you have been very busy in this wiki, so thanks a lot for all your contributions. I'll see what I can do around here hopefully next week and definitely next month.

    Best regards,
