Hvy Duty CarbonExtractor is a technology that can be researched at the Carbon Proc Ctr in Tech Level 4. It costs 300 Food and 200 Carbon, and lets workers gather carbon 10% faster. Enhanced CarbonExtractor must be researched before it becomes available.

In the vanilla game, the Trade Federation cannot research this technology. It was added to their tech tree in Clone Campaigns, mainly to alleviate their carbon-gathering weakness somewhat.
